Our Story

Yorkville has always been defined by luxury, style, and culture — but it lacked a space that truly brought it all together. Café Rosarium was created to fill that gap: a concept where premium florals, refined coffee, and elevated design exist under one roof, offering something distinct within the city.

Behind it is a story that goes back much further.

Maseeh and Raj met in kindergarten, building a lifelong friendship that evolved through years of shared experiences, travel, and exposure to different cities and cultures. Those experiences shaped a clear vision — to create something that felt global, intentional, and ahead of the market.

The foundation was already in place. In 2001, Akbar Sharifi founded The Rosarium, establishing a reputation across the Greater Toronto Area for premium Ecuadorian roses and high-end floral design. The brand expanded through Aurora, Maple, and Downtown Toronto @ Spadina & Richmond, becoming a recognized name in luxury floristry.

As the brand grew, so did its reach — expanding internationally to Frankfurt, Germany, and later to Dubai. It was in Dubai that the infrastructure and scale of the brand evolved, and where the idea for Café Rosarium fully took shape.

Along the way, The Rosarium gained recognition, including features in Living Luxe Magazine, further establishing its presence within the luxury lifestyle space.

Yet at its heart, the Café remains a continuation of something much deeper. Café Rosarium is ultimately an extension of a father & son’s original vision — carrying forward the belief that beauty, craftsmanship, true friendship & meaningful moments should always be at the center of what The Rosarium represents.

Coffee, Flowers & Beautiful Experiences

Café Rosarium is the result of that journey — a concept built on experience, global influence, and a clear understanding of modern luxury. The space itself reflects this vision through thoughtful collaboration, with design by James Loppie Design, custom fabrication by Latitude Fabricators, and refined surfaces by Cosentino Stone. In partnership with Nespresso Canada, and single origin coffees supplied buy ALFA Coffee the café delivers a premium coffee experience, while ongoing collaborations with Living Luxe Magazine and The Living Design Show further position the brand within Toronto’s design and culture scene. Finishing touches, including bespoke elements by Claris Mirrors, Silestone & Better Marble to complete a space that is as considered as it is elevated.

Café Rosarium is inspired by The Rosarium, a family business with decades of experience sourcing some of the world’s most beautiful roses. For nearly thirty years, our family has worked closely with renowned rose farms in Ecuador, known globally for producing extraordinary roses with large blooms, vibrant color, and exceptional longevity.

Café Rosarium brings that floral heritage into a new setting — a café where flowers are part of the everyday experience.

Café Rosarium is rooted in a story that began nearly three decades ago.

Our family has spent over 30 years in the world of roses, building relationships with some of the most renowned rose farms in Ecuador. These farms are known globally for producing extraordinary roses — celebrated for their large blooms, vibrant colors, and exceptional quality.

Through dedication, passion, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of flowers, The Rosarium grew into a brand recognized for offering some of the finest roses available.
